Well someone won't be getting any presents this year.

No offense to Gil, but all the "larger" men that I know that have gray hair and beards realize their resemblance to a certain jolly gift giver, and tend to be jolly themselves because of it. They tend to LOVE little kids (and not in a creepy way) coming up to them throughout the year.

That cherryburst Squier looks good. I've got a deep blue Squier.

Thanks for the compliments on the guitar - the thanks should go to Squier and Fender and the folks who built it in China.

All I've done to it is change strings, and a few minor adjustments to the saddles and some polish to make her shine.

It's a difficult color scheme to take a shot of - some only show the cherry color - natural sunlight appears to be best to show off the burst. It has a very nice set of grain showing.

As far as my weight/size goes - that's me - I'm a big guy - 6', 270 lbs - as my late wife used to say - there's just more of me to love :D

I love kids - I'm a grandfather twice over - eldest just finished her first year at college, the 2nd is a junior in HS.

And yes, I do get approached at Christmas time by little kids and I have played Santa in the past.

Gil, a happy camper 8)

Gil,
It was not my intention to offend you or come off as derogatory in any way. You are my elder, and I have respect for you. I am sorry for not thinking before hitting the submit button. I was only fooling about, hence the "wink". I believe that you got it, but I just wanted to clarify it for the others that view my post.

Don't worry about it - I wasn't offended. Thanks for the post explaining - it's happened before and it will happen again.

We are all here for more or less the same thing - to share our love of music, guitars and especially everything Fender.

Let the music and info flow :D
