You don't have to change em like you change strings, you know.

Gotta say, this is the kind of contribution we've been missing round here during the long, dark days of Nick's absence from the Forum. I like the place better with a Ninja about! :D

Friendly cheers to ya - C

New here, so this has prob. been covered.............I think Fender should offer these, no matter what the up charge.
It's a shame I'll have to consider a Carvin just because I want long term playability on the same neck.
With all the competition maybe Fender will open it's eyes someday.

get lost

You guys obviously have your head so far up Fender's $@! you resort to lying about fret wear (that you claim is'nt an issue) and then resort to insults (with a keyboard instead to anyone's face).
Proves my point.
Stainless steel frets scare you. Fender wants all to buy new guitars when frets wear.
The ONE thing that wears out on a guitar..........and these mouthpieces want to fool everyone into thinking it's not an issue.
Get lost yourself...........$@!.

Personally, I didn't order SS frets for the longevity. I bought them for the slick feel. The SS frets with an ebony FB is a real nice combo. Do I need it, no. Do I like it, yeah!

Hop on a plane (or hobo a train) over here in Punxsutawney Pa..........and show me how you would endeavor to finish what you started.

First time I've ever seen you like this SBLS, and I've gotta say it's kind of entertaining.
Don't let the guy get to you, he's just some immature little punk.

 sorry FNW. I should probably delete those posts, the thread was negatory as well as dissing the world, just got to me for a moment. :)

I've just put stainless on my crash around. Meh you can still wear em quickly. The zero fret has marks in it after a couple of weeks.

I honestly can't see the problem with nickel silver though. Unless its a technique issue causing them to wear quickly.

As for someone that can pick a fight on one of the most gentle people I've ever conversed with. Well it speaks volumes about you.

Hey SBLS: nah, you shouldn't.

This whole thread is just some teenager looking for a fight. Someone who joins a forum just to yell at people he's never met about something as silly as fret wire - well, that tells you all you need to know about him.

Power to your elbow, SBLS.

Cheers - C

Ditto! I'm very happy to have Nick back around here - one of my first
UK Git friends, I'm happy to say.

Hey, don't call me a UK git. Though silly, annoyingly childish and incompetent are all accurate descriptions of me.

Thank you fellas :D
