If Eb standard is considered an alternative tuning then yeah I sure do, otherwise no!

I really dislike returning my guitars so I tend to keep my strat in E standard and my Alvarez in Eb standard. Altho it just occured to me I still have my old guitar (Epi G400), and with its flat fretboard radius and humbuckers it'd make a pretty mean slide guitar. I even have a few sets of .11 gauge strings so I can string it up all fresh, too :)

I mostly use standard tuning, but when I have a song where I need it to be downtuned I grab my MIM strat which is tuned to 1/2 step down...

That's why I need another guitar! I don't like to tune to something else each time I want to play a different song...

Drop D, 1/2 step and full and so on is just too much trouble to mess with. So Drop D is usually the one. Not to mention it suits my style and I'm a big fan of metal.

1. DGDGBE - my "Rolling Stones" tuning, great for pretending you are both Keith Richards and Mick Taylor. Try it, it's great.

2. EADGBD - I only used this on one song, Stealer's Wheel's "Stuck in the Middle With You." It was fun to play.

Hello Chet,

Pretty much standard tuning,
every blue moon or so I'll drop
a 1/2 step.

Cheers.
