Was just curious if anyone here attended the Guitar Center Musician's Expo in Long Beach today (or knows someone who did) ... I had it on my own schedule for potential attendance but ended up not being able to make it. Just curious to hear what impressions of the event were. Cool gear? Worth the drive? Something you'd attend again? etc.

I wanted to go to see Allan Holdsworth play, but I didn't make it. I'd be interested to know about it myself. If it's worth the drive from L.A., I'll do it next year.

Sounds like a cool event, if it is successful we might get one in Chicagoland. 8)

Other than Chet Feathers, whom I don't hear from other than on Facebook these days, I don't know how broadly represented among active contributors California is:? I have no doubt that this will roust them out to stand up and be counted.

Let's see, Vacaville, where Chet resides, to Long Beach is a 6 plus hour drive each way, tack on another hour from my locale in the foothills. Not meaning to speak for Chet or any one else, but that would have to be SOME Expo to get us NorCali's to commit to a trip like that . Yet to hear from our neighbors to the south.
