I want to try one of those bacon and maple syrup donuts that they have at Voodoo Donuts. Perhaps, some day I can make the pilgrimage across the United States to do so.

I like to go to the state fair and get chocolate dipped bacon on a stick. :)

Interesting. I never heard of that before. Speaking of chocolate, I tried some flavoured with chilies and it was pretty good. It reminded me of cinnamon, more than chili, though. Very subtle at first.

My kind of breakfast! Even the blood pudding...only thing missing is the pint of guiness!

What a delectable dish although the stuff on the plate looks pretty appetizing too.Brit girls are so disarmingly cute and cuddly looking.

At our local Costco we get Canadian pea-meal bacon that is absolute Ambrosia. It is Canadian back bacon that is cured to perfection and isn't nearly as salty as other types of bacon and is usually sugar-maple smoked, which imparts a sweet smokey flavour to it. I'm not absolutely sure but I believe that pea meal is dried yellow peas (the kind used to make authentic Canadian pea soup and to make pease pudding in Newfoundland and Labrador)ground to a very very fine consistancy so it isn't too hard and crunchy to eat.As far as I'm concerned the pea meal doesn't add to the flavour at all so its use may be for another reason unrelated to flavouring the bacon.Anyway Canadian pea meal bacon is just about the best bacon I've ever eaten other than real Italian prosciutto.
