If memory serves, I don't recall Fender ever offering a line which featured the kind of 'fast' neck profiles these other brands attract shredders with. They've basically gotten their marque out of the market of Floyd trems and the lot and focused on what their customer base follows them for. It's Charvel/Jackson which they've essential handed that baton off to.

They have done in the past with the Heartfield line and Showmaster series and did very well at it.. I'd put this up against any Ibanez or Jackson in the 90's era anyday.. Problem is, ESP and Ibanez nowadays pretty much own the market. All Jacksons I see now are all cheap.

IT'S JUST SO WEIRD TO LOOK AT.

This is probably the wrong forum for this type of topic. This is a forum where most of its member are traditionalists when it comes to their choice of guitars. To me however, I don't like not having a humbucker in the bridge. Remember, one of the original ideas about these guitars was the versatility needed. Players needed Strat sounds, with fat humbucker sounds of a Gibson, yet still needed a Trem.

I'd have to say to those who have never played that type of styled guitar, go and try one instead of bagging them. Or even an S series Ibanez if you don't like pointy guitars. You will be surprised. After playing a Strat for a while, the very slim C neck feels very welcome in my hands, and the longer scale too. I've been a 'traditionalist' to an extent, however there is nothing wrong with having a taste of something different on your plate.

I made an account just so I can reply to this....
I have been playing Jackson guitars for 19 years. And I can tell you first hand that 100 percent, yes they are ruining Jackson...
Pre fender I can honestly say I never had a single issue with any Jackson I bought. I have USA models, Japanese models, and they are absolutely incredible.
Once fender took over every Jackson I have purchased has had nothing but issues. I bought the Mark Morton pro dominion in ivory. I absolutely love this guitar, but when I got it I had to literally polish the frets they weren't even touched from factory. Wires weren't connected right so I had to have that redone. The nut was crap, and had that replaced. And that's the second one I got. The first one I sent back because it had fabric paints into the clear coat and the neck had chunks out of it. Fenders quality control is crap...
That's just one example, I had 2 others I bought that both had terrible fret jobs, and other issues....
Here is my biggest issue by far. It's fenders dumb idea to not paint the neck and literally stop the paint job at the bottom of the neck abruptly. They don't even try to make it look good. They just stop the clear coat , and they are doing this to all Jacksons that are neck thru. It's so stupid looking and cheap looking also. Go to sweetwater find a Jackson pro soloist and look at the pics of the back and you'll see what I mean. And it looks much worse in person. Who ever had that dumb idea should be fired...
I called Jackson just to discuss my concerns, and they didn't care one bit. I told them straight out that you have a customer of 19 years that your gonna Loose, and it didn't mean a thing...
So me personally, I am going back to my original brand before I started playing Jacksons, and that is inanez. Prestige models are made in Japan, they come with hard-shell cases and they look and feel better now-a-days. And they are equipped much better as well...
I truly hate fender, never did like them but not that destroyed my brand that I loved for so long and once I heard they bought them I called it. I knew it was gonna happen.
So there I hope people read this, and know it's coming from a guy who bought nothing but Jackson for so long, but I'm switching.

Welcome to the Forum jester0mega. An informative first post.
I own a Jackson David Ellefson 5 string bass and I thought it the best bang for the buck. I admire the Jackson guitars and if this new Jackson crew can get it's act together I'd like to get a Pro Series Monarkh. Lets hope they return to the old wayss.
