Anyone else from the forums going to the Dallas Guitar Show this year? I'm going for the first time this year. It'll be a nice little weekend vacation. :D

Also, does anyone know where I might find a good blues jam or show somewhere in Dallas on a Friday or Saturday night? I know that's not usually a good time for jams, but it never hurts to ask.

I haven't been to the Dallas show, but I have a couple VHS (Yeah they been doing the Dallas Show that long) tapes from a couple of the Dallas shows and if it is still half as good as what's on those tapes, you should have a blast!!!

I have done a couple other shows and I always found myself having fun just seeing up close some of the REAL vintage guitars, and talking with folks and making some friends while I was at it.

Enjoy the show and you never know who you might meet and become friends with and any contacts you might make to further your career!

I just got word that I've been chosen to be a part of the Dallas Guitar Show's Top 10 Under 20 showcase while I'm there! :) I kind of wish I had known sooner, my work and gig schedule leaves very little free time for me, much less practice time. I guess I'll have to sacrifice a few pre-gig naps.

I guess I'll stick with playing my Battle of the Blues song. It's definitely been battle tested and I'm really comfortable with it considering last time I played it I did it completely by sight and feel since I couldn't hear myself at all.

Congrats Rebecca! A true honor for ya...getting to play there sure beats just attending!

Enjoy and don't sweat the lack of practice, you could do this blindfolded!!!

No official professional video ala Battle of the Blues that I know of, but my Dad will probably have his camera out. :D
