There's no video on these two favorite tracks of mine:

Rambl'in on EC Was Here

If I Needed Someone- The Harrison Japan Tour.**

**[Note to Chromeface: There IS a video of this song but it is not the same performance at the one on the CD]

Actually this shot was taken from the Orchestra Nights performances in February 9th, 1990 (The Lost Orchestra Night bootleg).

The version you're talking about was performed the following night (February 10th); it is included on the aforementioned Orchestra Nights CD.

Thanks for the additional contribution, but my reference was to the Japan tour, and not your posting.

Ah, I see.

Here you go!

Please bear in mind that's the full remastered version of the Live In Japan CD. (hope Google will not remove the video for copyright infringements).

ZZDoc...That version of Ramblin on my Mind from EC Was Here has to be one of his best versions of that tune...and the Have You Ever Loved a Woman on that same album is a huge one, two punch of some of the finest blues playing ever!! Great Choice!

I like the way the arrangement changes key, and the fluidity of that long guitar solo. In terms of all the discussions we've had about his 'tone' across the years, these two selections of mine are good examples of that spread. He's using two different guitars and signal chains here. What impressed me about the Japan solo was the incredible sustain. I've never heard his guitar 'sing' like that anytime before. That's the kind of stuff players go for and it takes an awful lot of experimentation, tweaking I like to call it, with one's own gear, to dial in something of that sort.

Thanks for this. Prior to George's passing, this concert recording was out of print. I had been searching for it for years. A friend of mine owned the premium edition, signed, with all the 'candy' included. When George died, I purchased a used copy off eBay. Then, not long after, it was reissued.

The version of If I Needed Someone I've had posted years ago was taken from the Concert For George in 2002. Clapton sang this chiming Beatles tune playing rhythm guitar.

Own this one too. Helluva front line there, not to mention the rest of the band. These videos are valuable beyond the entertainment, seeing how their gear is set up for a certain sound. Andy with a capo on that twelve string electric for example. Realize that we are looking at a small portion of a fraternity of British musicians whom together, during the past half century, changed the face of the world's music. 8)
