Good morning everyone...

We had a thunderstorm last night! Now that's a good start.....snow is finally starting to melt and I can see some grass showing through. Is Summer right around the corner? In the 50's today.

My weekend is filled with household chores and probably some guitar time. Easter brunch with my family tomorrow of course. I hope you all have a great day and weekend...

Beaubs

Good morning Beuabs! It is going to be in the 60's here today (FINALLY) and all the snow has melted (YEAH)!!

Household chores today include cleaning up the cars, picking up my Bantam 2x12 from my tech, and a small jam with my son today...although those last two are actually NOT chores! Looking forward to a productive day May have to play some EC today to honor his B-day.

Enjoy your Easter Weekend everyone.

T2

Mornin' Beaubs and everyone. Sunny spells but still very cold for Easter time here in London today. Coffee drunk: some casual guitar making for the afternoon and then tonight we're off to see Joe Bonamassa at the Royal Festival Hall - a favourite venue for him. We saw him a couple of nights ago too: we're having ourselves a little Bonamassa Fest.

Have a good weekend and a happy Easter, Passover, or whatever's your thing - C

Warming up again down here in Palm Beach County.

Had dinner at local eatery last night. Sat out on the patio. There was music bleed through from popular night spot right next door which features a Florida band called "EGO" on Friday nights. Really impressive band. You can Google them. Interesting bios. All of them pro's. Once my office/study/studio is done I have every intention of getting back to my music in earnest. I need to get back on stage once more.

Thinking about taking in the flick "Olympus Has Fallen", this evening. [Not as flushed in the pocket as Ceri.]

A blessed Easter to all of you who observe.

Mornin' all,
50-ish and sunny today think I might have seen a tight bud or two on the trees. Weather man saying it might be mid April before we get to the correct temp. range for the season. One last snow?
Mrs.E and I are headed out to the city for brunch and who knows what else, it's just that kind of day.
Happy Easter/Passover everyone, see you next week.

Ah-ha! :D

I'm going to hijack the thread for second to explain that - cos it's guitar related.

A couple of weeks ago ZZDoc kindly emailed me with a headsup that Joe Bonamassa is playing a series of four shows in London this week, one in each of the four venues he's gigged many times over the years: from the tiny Borderline where he started a decade ago, through the 1000-ish seat Shepherds Bush Empire (ideal house for rock) to the 5000 seater Royal Albert Hall and Hammersmith Odeon. For Joe these shows are a kind of roundup tribute to how his career has grown and blossomed in these parts - we like him and he seems to like us.

I replied to the Doc that we'd indeed had an alert from our favoured ticket agency, who were offering a "VIP" ticket package to all four shows... for an amazing £1500/$2300 a pop. Erm - wowza! We decided to pass.

However, this week my wife suddenly mentioned over breakfast that she'd landed tickets to the two big shows, at a princely £40/$60 for Thursday and even less tonight. Which, for the not so flush-in-pocket, seemed a bit more reasonable.

The lesson: don't fall for those stunningly over-priced ticket packages!

Back to the thread.

Cheers - C

(PS: by the way, Doc: there was a very full film crew working the show on Thursday, so I wouldn't be surprised if another DVD is on the way...)

Getting ready for a guitar lesson. After that, honey-do's for the rest of the day. Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon here. Today was spring cleaning day, the house is now clean as a whistle and I can relax and do some music. I've rewarded myself by ordering an effect pedal, one of those funky little Boss SL-20 slicers. I can't wait.

Good day All!

It's sunny, breezy and 75F. I'm still getting over a bronchial infection and I can't sit and play too long with the guitar pressed up against me or it causes me to have another coughing fit.
