Great post and most interesting photos. Thanks for sharing a peek at HQ.

Aside 1: I think Brad should buy lunch for any forum members that show up unannounced at lunch time and manage to B.S. their way past security at corporate HQ!
Aside 2: Judging from the photo, apparently you visited Corporate on "Casual Friday."
Aside 3: Wonder if the secretary was nonchalantly sliding one foot toward the alarm switch without you noticing while thinking, "The guy in the crazy shirt must be some sort of "geetar nut?"
Aside 4: (Going through Brad's mind,) "Maybe this forum thing wasn't such a sweet PR idea after all..."
Aside 5: (Again going through Brad's mind,) "Wonder why hot forum babes never show up at lunch time?"

It's an electric guitar company. Man, I'd be devasted if it turned out they were all turning up for work every day in a suit and tie. Eeesh - the blood runs cold at the thought!

Absolutely and totally. WTF does a tie have to do with guitars and music? Unless they are like the one time CEO of GM who, when asked what his reply was to the statement that The Japanese made better cars than Americans, he replied, "We're not is the business of making cars. We're in the business of making money."

Creepy thought thinking of ties and guitars. Unless it is the preferred attire of the artist. :D

Haha - some people can rock that look... But not many!

And the thought of the guys designing and making the guitars in white shirts and ties - oh man, it's wrong wrong wrong!

This is the correct corporate look at Fender:

Geesh, I was joking. I was expecting at least an AC/DC T-shirt. It is Arizona after all.

Well I was there on a Monday and it was pretty casual by corporate standards. If there is a casual Friday, it must be shorts and flip-flops! Lots of current Fender gear being worn and definitely not a tie in sight phew.

Again, had I given Brad some advanced notice, I could have scheduled a time that didn't cut into his lunch hour and we would have had access to even more cool stuff including a video studio and a shop full of all the on-line store merchandise that happened to be locked up when I came through. If you do go around noon-time, plan on lunch; Brad would appreciate it, and they do have a very cool, Fender stylized (like everything else in the building) cafeteria.

Hey Dave: we know, we were joking too. :D

There's a certain footwear tradition on this Forum. Personally I was hoping for some crocodile boots or similar - maybe they're down there, out of frame...

Tie would get caught in the machinery. Could be fatal.
