Yup.

If you need somethin' done...don't ask a musician to do it!

Relying on someone? It had better NOT be a musician!

Talk about a bunch of worthless, flakey individuals! Doesn't seem to matter what they play!

Ha :!:

I'll second that. I make a living as a musician precisely because I'm not flakey, and always do what I say I will do.

The flakey ones are usually the kind of people who like to say they're musicians, and maybe belong to a half-baked band or something, but aren't really very good players.

Yeah, I can go with that. I don't even know if it's a question of them being "good" or not. (Subjective).

It's just half the time, you go out, you play....and people tend to blow smoke up your hiney about all kinds of stuff. "Yeah...let's get together! We'll do this or that!"

As far as a "no show" crowd goes, musicians take the cake. (No....this isn't meant as a pick on Fender folks...I'm talking about musicians as a whole.)

The ones that are reliable and take their craft seriously...yes, those people find work. But dang...you people are REALLY hard to find!!!

Well, then this is the place to vent about musicians then, where there are other musicians that would understand.

I wouldn't say "Flakey"- I would say we are "Artistic" 8) and to some folks that may seem flakey. Most of the musicians I know are reliable, talented, not self centered, and a great bunch of folks.
Maybe you are hanging out with the wrong crowd
