Maybe it's me, but I don't like to see talented writers, musicians, performers being made to look like clowns in that way.

Comedians have been making people look like clowns for centuries. Presidents, the military, rich people, poor people, young, old, etc. Is some of it in poor taste and not accepted today? Absolutely. Do these videos fall into that category? I doubt it. Anybody that knows these musicians and their talent sees these videos for what they are, jokes. Yeah stupid jokes, but jokes none the less. We as a society have lost the ability to laugh at ourselves. "Political correctness" does not always deserve the final word.

I'm sorry, but what makes working musicians different from anyone else?

And no, I am not a working musician. Nor do I play one on TV. :D

50 years ago, these recordings were considered hilarious (I loved it back in the day). Today some people probably consider it in bad taste (I don't). Just goes to show how things have changed.

Some people have just seen it too many other times to think it's funny anymore.

That's their problem. Why beat up on the people who still find it funny just because they don't? I find some things still funny after hundreds of times. Others, once or twice. But I don't try to tell people what they should think, which seems to be the case in this thread.

That seems to be the way a lot of things are going.

I would be flattered if someone thought I was so good it would be funny to make a video like these. If this kind of thing upsets you, you better grow some thicker skin or you'll be mad your entire life. This is child's play.

Plus, these are famous people that put themselves in the public eye. People like this love the attention. I sure every famous person has gone through much worse than this, considering this is obviously not real.

this should have dropped pages ago, look and move along if you must. poor taste never was a true form of entertainment. strictly sideshow. we can do better than this.
