I respectfully suggest that we make every effort to see our postings consistent with the Lounge Forums guidelines. Abuses of same should be ignored and left without comment. Hopefully Brad will find the time to eventually lock these threads as they appear.

Ah. I've been off the Forum for a few days - has there been some abusiveness? Beyond the usual tiresome spam, that is?

Tut tut. Play nicely, boys and girls. :)

Cheers - C

Oh - well we can tell those people to p___ off till we're blue in the face, sadly it don't seem to make any difference. It's lately become more of a pain than ever, hasn't it? :?

If so - I totally agree. I guess all regular users here do. But I am quite sure the spammers don't give a d..... about any appeals :(

Yah! Which is why I suggest that, once revealed, let it be without benefit of reply.Leave the author to ponder the question: If a tree falls in the forest, and there is no one there to hear it, does it still make a sound?

On a directly related note, although none of the membership posts responses to that inane drivel, many do continue to read those posts as can be readily verified in the "Views" column. This is in effect, responding to them. Hence, these hijackers have achieved their purpose and are consistently encouraged to continue. Don't even read them!

Yes, when you see spam simply hit the report button and report it - don't respond.

The other individuals who have repeatedly been posting harrassing messages on a certain topic here - that's another thing altogether that is really starting to teeter dangerously on criminal activity. Again, though, as a visitor to the site your best practice is to simply not respond when you see the postings I'm referring to.

I will be honest, I don't come on the forum nearly as much as I used to because of a lot of the nonsense. I think too that there is a maturity level, or in many cases a lack of which causes some of the issues. But, for my friends here who know me...rock on fellas!
ABS :D

Unfortunately content is not always self-evident from the 'subject' of a thread. To elicit a response is IMHO, what the intent of the writer is. Hence I encourage 'walk on by'.

I agree however nothing can be done about the frequency of the spam threads until there can be a rule put in place where you cannot create a thread as a first ever post. Not much we can do about that till then.

Other than that, yes- don't respond to them by all means.
