I just bought a pretty old harvard reverb II. I want 2 run an extention spk. 2 10's or 1 12.What would be my best ohms match 8 or 16 or does it matter. Also what would be the better spk combination. Thanks 4 your input

Solid state amp. Original speaker is 8 ohms. No extension speaker output so you would need to disconect the internal speaker and wire the output to the external cab or modify the headphone output jack.

BLUESKY: Excellent answer. Isn't it a bit odd that 8 Ohms is the minimum on that solid state amp according to the schematic? Great that you posted it! Guess that explains no ext speaker out jack.

Solid state amps are less sensitive to output impedance than tube amps. You could probably run a 4 or 16 ohm load with no problem. Notice that the speaker output is fused. Go too low impedance and the output section will try to output more current to keep up until the fuse blows.
