Thankyou for sharing a wonderful story Doc! I actually felt like I was along for the ride, lol. How wonderful, a Father and Daughter spending quality time together and enjoying that time. I know very few families who have attained that level of love and respect and talking listening learning playing music together, I especially loved that they enjoyed eating. The only times that I don't feel a little odd eating is at my Sisters houses where it is encouraged to take a second and third helping, lol. (I am an eater, there I admit it). Please thank Mike and Lindy for me! The article is a pleasure to read the photos are easy on the eyes and the warmth love closeness of their their trip their relationship came right through the computer screen to my heart and mind, and the songs have a beautiful American folk vibe, well done!

Mike advised on the Eldred Trio's FB page that they were going to Sun Studios. After the gig he stated that posted a few things on their blog page. When I went into the link you could have knocked me over with a feather. I thought it most appropriate to post it here.

From the narratives of both Mike and his daughter, he's got a serious jones for that part of the country. Considering who he is, what he does, where he's been, and those of whom we know whom he can call friends, he's really gotten down to basics there. It's a whole different side of him we're seeing and I'm impressed.

Sun Studio has a magic sound. The music is outstanding. Maybe The Eldred Quartet for a while? It was a lovely story and fell nice on my southern ears. All the best. :D

Thanks for posting! Great story, cool pics and good family fun. Now I think I need some BBQ and I got a hankering for playing some Elvis songs and maybe throw in Crossroads to boot!
