I really wish Fender would make more leftys I understand that they don't sell but why not make limited of say 100 200 300 even 400 world wide listen I love fender and I'm dedicated to there products I had to buy a evh lefty witch I don't really like the neck is like playing a tooth pick but it sounds slamming also got an ibanez but fender is my favorite classic to say the least I tried to play righty back when I first started at 14 but I do everything lefty so if you are lefty I feel for you and if your not your lucky so please Fender if anybody reads this that could be working there and have a say make more leftys for us so we don't have to spend 3 to 5 grand on some custom guitar from southpaw.com I ain't mad I just love Fender to death sorry for the long rant I feel like Kanye West. peace love and jam on I'm out

Sentences really help.

As a lefty, I don't have a problem with what Fender offers. More is always better, but we're a smaller market, and they're just not going to shift lots of top end and Ltd Eds/sig guitars.

The bigger problem is getting hold of these in stores. I talked about this with the local rep at the Roadshow recently, and he gave me a complete list of stock held in my local stores, and what they had at the warehouse. Any of which he was happy to make available to try at a store, with no obligation.

I think that's the best we can hope for, and would suggest any lefties find out who the local rep is.

I just want a decently priced left-handed Jazzmaster, and I want it to look just like this one http://www.fender.com/guitars/jazzmaste ... azzmaster/
It doesn't need to be hand made or anything, actually I would prefer MIM. I've always dreamed of a guitar that looks like that, and now they have one, but not available lefty, and way out of my budget.
Give me a Jazzmaster! Please?

At least make a signature Strat for a southpaw player like Doyle Bramhall II!

I don't see why leftys can't play right handed. I mean, I was born right handed, but I'm now left handed due to a certaint incident that occured, and I play guitar right handed. In my case, I have my good hand doing all the technical stuff, the fretting hand, and my crap hand doing the strumming/picking.
I actually think right handers should fret with their right hand, not their left.

Kick or throw a ball with your left, try and bat or golf LH. That should tell you enough.

It's been done to death in guitar circles. Simple fact is some are left handed and cannot learn right. Some can, I bat and golf RH, but couldn't hit a city doing it Right. But that only demonstrates the specific ambidexterity of some Lefties.

My buddy is lefty, and plays a right handed guitar upside down. I'll never understand how, but he learned that way, and does it quite well. Kills me when he tries to show me something, I have to stand on my head to get it.

I'm weird... I'm ambidextrous, or just hopelessly confused with handedness.

Guitar and all other instruments = right handed.
Drums = left handed (like Phil Collins, Ian Paice, etc... - high hat is on your right, and the tom toms are reversed with the low floor tom on your left side. Kick the bass drum with your left foot).
Write with a pen = left handed.
Eat with a fork/spoon = left handed.
Use power tools/hammer = left handed.
Play golf or tennis = right handed.
Throw a football = right handed.
Throw a baseball = left handed.
Hit a ball = right handed.
Kick a soccer ball or football = left footed.

Like I said, I'm all $*#&ed up!!!! :P

Yeah, but to Labour the point, all those things felt natural in whatever hand, but to do them the other way, feels wrong and often just plain impossible.

That's why I don't get the people that say 'just learn RH, you don't know how to play yet'. Wrong - you do know which is the right way for you to learn.

When it comes from salesdudes, they're just FOS. They don't have a LH guitar to sell.

Exactly... Back in the late 70's my older sister had a boyfriend who was a wicked guitarist back then. He showed me all sorts of stuff, and I learned a lot of licks from him. But oddly enough, he was lefty and I was righty. He had a gorgeous Gibson SG that he played upside down and restrung lefty (like Hendrix used to do with his guitars). I had a cheesy, POS, double cutaway no-name Strat type of guitar but with 2 pickups.

Anyway just for laughs one time, I remember we swapped guitars and handedness. I played his SG lefty and he played my crappy POS guitar righty. The result = neither of us could play worth a damn. We hardly could even make a regular open chord!!

With this said... If you find it easier to play lefty, then you play lefty. And I agree, the music stores should have more lefty guitars though.
