Someone should have warned you to beware The Sale-A-Bration's siren song.

Yeah, the next thing you know, it'll be a Tele-Bration's siren song... By the way, I couldn't resist either -- Blacktop Strat on order...

Just in the nick of time, I ordered a candy apple red Blacktop Strat from Sweetwater. I tried out a couple BT Strats here locally and really liked the neck shape, finish, and appearance. I'll be using the BT Strat as a starting point for two "mix 'n match" projects.

I'm converting the BT Strat to an SSS pickup configuration (Duncan SSL2/SSL6/SSL3) and replaciing the rosewood neck with the nicely figured, v-shape, maple neck from my Classic Players '50s. I'm installing the BT Strat rosewood neck on the shoreline gold CP '50s body...

BT Strat loaded HH pickguard will go to eBay, maybe to fund a Callaham replacement bridge assy for the BT Strat body 'cause I like pop-in trem arms...

End result -- nice candy apple red Strat with vintage sounding pickups and vintage looking maple neck.. Plus, a nice shoreline gold CP 50's Strat (57/62 pups, 2-pt trem) with a 22-fret rosewood neck...

Congrats! Sounds like a fun project ...

Hello all, I am new to Fender Guitars and these forums. I have wanted a Stratocaster for quite some time. I was going to eventually pick up a MIM Strat for my stable of middle of the road (price wise) guitars. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Honeyburst (great guitar), an Epiphone T-310 Custom natural (Tele style, plays awesome), an Epiphone T-310 Standard in black. These guitars have their place on my wall and in my heart for sure. I played both the MIM and MIA strats last week at my local guitar store while dropping the T-310 C off for repairs to its electric gear. This visit made me realize I would want the MIA beyond any doubt. I then noticed the Sale-A-Bration and well the rest is history....I have, resting in a stand, a Fender 2012 American Standard SSS in Mystic Blue with a maple neck from Sweetwater Music. I could not be happier and I can't put it down!!!! I will continue to dust off the others on occaision as they will not be played much! :D
Sorry for the long post, but glad to be here!!!!!

Niiiiiiice and congrats. Mystic Blue is awesome!

And with that ... we're going ahead and finishing up the promotion this morning and I'm unsticking this thread. Thanks, everyone, and I hope you've enjoyed this "behind the scenes" look at how a program of this nature works and operates from this side. We really appreciate the enthusiastic response!

Oh no... Not a tele! I gave my only tele to my son when he started to show an interest in guitar. I guess I'll have to replace it. Brad is evil. EVIL!

I'm still curious when the Surf Green American Specials are going to start being produced again??? I ordered one but was told yesterday when I inquired about it that they are not sure when it will be available.

Contact consumer relations. Maybe they can inquire of the factory.

We touched on the Surf Green Am Spcl topic earlier in this thread - it's been a hot seller but relief should be coming later this month!

An hour to type the model names with one hand and I get bumped for maintenance. Brad, forget the $50 and make it $75, lol.

Shoot, most unfortunate timing there, but ... it's the thought that counts. $75 it is - PM me your address and preferred store items totalling no more than $75!

Brad, this came with the mail Image Image Image
thankyou Brad, just under $75.00, lol. jumbo frets and brass nut, the w/b/w backplate and replacement screws, original Strat string guides, smiling. :D
thanks,
SBLS

ps: finally, height adjustment screws that actually adjust bridge saddle height, thx, :)

 I had purchsed bridge saddle height screws from GC, WD parts, Allparts and none of them worked, lol. Then I get them from the Fender store and they work, it must be a sign. 8)
