I have one picked out that I have been wanting. Now, I just have to pull the trigger and do it. I have sold off about $500 worth of car parts no longer needed, money in paypal. Got about $800 in tax refunds. Just about enough to get me an American Deluxe Strat HSS in Tungsten that I have been lusting after.

All 3 places I know of, Musicians Friend, Guitar Center and Sweetwater all have the same price, $1399....

I read GC's disclaimer and it said that I could not combine coupons and the special price so I have not tried that. I'm gonna call and see if they can do that for me.

If you haven't, sign up for American musical supply email and they will send you a 10% off code that you can use, I used it this morning for an American standard strat.

GC just told me they cannot do this on the American Deluxe HSS. Since this is the case, I may just have to hold off for a while. They could have had my money tonight.

Sorry man... Did you call GC's 800 number? If so, I am not surprised as they will not honor anything on online sales! If you read GC's coupon disclaimer, it literally excludes every name brand they carry plus all used gear and nothing's combinable with anything (ie. it is a completely unusable coupon.) But I have personally had quite a different experience in-store. In-store they always honor the coupons.

If the Fender you want is available in-store anywhere near you, I would get over there coupon in hand!

It's been awhile since I've been around here, but I did take advantage of this sale and bought a Jade metallic pearl American standard strat, for less than the cost of my 2010 American special. Thanks Fender!

Niiiiiice score there ... JPM is an awesome finish!

this is an amazing promotion...but can anybody say whether or not it could extend to telecasters? or perhaps there's another one following.....??

Thanks!

This particular "Sale-a-bration" is limited to the extensive listing of Stratocaster guitars that I posted up top in the initial post on this thread. The program is going great so far so who knows, perhaps we'll do another one like it covering Tele models in the future!

I'm a bassist too so I feel your pain. But, I also suggest that you do what I do: play guitar too. :D

OK, so the excitement of the sale is in the air and we've spent some time covering how the thing works. Hmmm, what next, what next. OK ... how about this? Let's give one lucky winner a trip for two to the Fender Visitor Center in Corona, Calif. Check out the full details right here!

hahah, I do but I always end up borrowing my son's Gretsch acoustic. My girlfriend is the Strat player in the family. Just ordered myself a Classic 70's P in Oly White to complete my stable. A nice enough bass that I don't mind paying full price, anyhow. I've been waiting for almost 10 years for a bass like this. Especially after selling my 78 P. It seemed the MIJ model was always so hard to get ahold of.

Someday I'll actually buy myself a guitar. I'm more partial to the Tele myself. Though I'm sure my girl will appreciate this sale. It's all good.

I bet if you bought your girlfriend one of the Strats on sale right now it would make for a very assured romantic weekend!

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think TheKingOfPain needs to adjust the overall strategy and approach here; what's good for his girlfriend is good for him. LOL! :D

Haha, I'm sure she'd agree!

Any chance of doing this for Telecaster sometime?

- Hint: I would buy a Telecaster.
