their website looks ok, peavey cellestian eminence jbl jensen carvin are all good choices I know I've used them all at one time or another over these many rock and roll years. if you try a WGS let us know what you like about it. 8)

Forum member "nedorama" who hangs out in the vintage-amp section owns several WGS speakers and swears by them. You might give him a holler for more intel.

I have a 2X12 cabinet w/ a Retro 30 and a Reaper HP. They are billed to be WGS versions of the V30 and G12H. I do like them, but they're quite different from the Celestions that they are supposed to be like. They are 'warmer' and somewhat 'grittier' sounding than the Celestions.

Compared to any other new speakers I've had they took 'forever' to break in @ nearly 100 hrs. Other speakers seem to me to break in in half the time.

So, all-in-all good speakers, but don't necessarily buy into their comparison to Celestions as counterparts, and expect a longer break-in period.

I'm glad somebody is helping keep that company in business. Eminence is a great company right now, but I've seen no exceptions where a corporation, unless privately held, does not go down hill once "the brand" has been established. They (Eminence) have already eliminated the company outings that were part of their culture. The scalpel is already being wielded. People might say it's the economy. My guess is that salaries at the top do not reflect this impact.

I am all for turning a profit. Anything else is stupidity and a poorly run company, but.....
I will not be tedious and step down from the soapbox now.
