Don't worry mine were the same way. Just keep practicing and show your parents that you are serious. And stick with it- don't give up. 8)

I had 3 guitars when my Iceman went in for fret repairs (a brother who played slide with a large plumber's wrench--and didn't realize with slide you don't grind the the strings...)

The other 2 were my classical & my first electric a Les Paul copy--which while a decent guitar, just wasn't the same after playing the Iceman-so even then I sympathize and sort of empathize--but I was glad to have the other guitars.

Oh--actually I had my bass as well--but that's not the same.

I think I learned the chords from fretplay.com, if you don't know how to play one of the chords just make a google search on something like: Cm7 guitar chord (Cm7 is just an example) :)

just scroll down the page and you'll hit the lyrics and chords, tabs are just for the intro and solo which you don't have to learn at this time

Suggestion: pretend you are on a vacation. Go to a museum.

Haha you think thats bad? I've been without an amp for coming up to 10 weeks, and its going to be anohter week or two before I get it back.

My strat is also in the shop. Put it in on Saturday, should be ready for next Tuesday. £50 for a full setup, can't wait to get it back and see how it plays. Interested to see how they reshape the nut / fix intonation / lower the action, plus its nice knowing its a full electrical check too (as it wasn't me who upgraded the pus)!

The only thing keeping me sane is my acoustic. Learning a couple of songs, Catfish Blues by Hendrix (finally getting enough strength in my fingers to do the bends on my 12 string) and Hey Hey What Can I Do by Zeppelin (awesome song!)

Bridge is fixed, and an input jack issue I had is fixed, and the new pickup sounds awesome, however....

I don't think they actually did a setup. The action is super high, the bridge was floating way too high, the strings buzz on every single fret, my guitar was absolutely filthy (I mean like mustard globs on the fretboard filthy), and they stole some of the pickguard screws. I fixed what I could of those issues, but I am extremely pissed off right now. I know for certain that I am never ever going to that shop again for repairs.

But at least my baby is home with a badass humbucker in the bridge

Oh and yes I love pizza
