I've been smoking one thing or another for about a thousand years and have decided that smoking fish is about my favorite. I've been checking out 'You Tube' and other resources as well as my own tried and true recipes and came up with this JEM. Check it Out & "Smoke Some Fish".

I too love smoked fish.I have been smoking fish since as far back as I can remember. I was fortunate enough to own a boat and live near the ocean for many years so I was always able to have a fresh supply of fish.I really enjoy smoked yellowfin tuna.I have to say though that smoked salmon is right up on the top, however I haven't smoked much salmon as they don't reside around where I live and I hate paying for fish .I usually just smoke what I catch.Living in southern Ca. I catch albacore, yellowfin or bluefin tuna and on the occasion Mahi(dorado). Those would be the usual critters I smoke . I catch lots of halibut but I enjoy eating that on the Bbque.I love fish. Wonder if there are others here that smoke fish. Nice topic Danny

Fishing and learning how to preserve and prepare one's catch is a universal must do. I, like you, live on the west coast of the U.S. and have the usual indigenous species as well as the Inland Variety of fish to catch, and eat. As wee speak, I am playing my "STRAT" Nibbling on a little bit of Smoked Salmon, sipping on a bit of "Makers Mark" and Dinking around with this computer. My Wife will be home soon, and I'll have to get a mouve on.  "Dont Buy Fish" Catch-em and smoke-em.
