I've got one (not for sale) and I tried to find another one last year, without luck. I wish they hadn't discontinued them... really nice gig bag, especially suited to vintage guitars like my CP 50's. In fact, I think Fender should have made the tweed gig bag the one that one that comes with the CP 50's... They just seem to go together.

I used ivory bindings, celluliod pearl block inlays, semi-gloss polyurethane finish

before and after shots, i got $100 bucks of because of a pretty big chip in the paint, so i repainted the body white and used "Semi gloss polyurethane " finish, wet sanded and buffed it, came out exactly like the vintage white color it was.

here was that huge chip that allowed me to buy it for 100 bucks off

other than that, knobs and plates all in good shape, changed out the pick guard though, was scratched up from being a floor sample for so long and no plastic coating on it, so i just bought a new one on ebay., i sold the original neck, and bought an allparts lic fender neck, i like the headstock shape, and neck feel, ,

knobs and plates were in good enough shape to keep,

in this shot below, the first headstock came with the guitar, i got good money for that neck, and bought the allparts for half the money i made on the original, so i made out really good on that ,
and i think the headstock shape i have now, the "MIDDLE headstock in the image" you see, is more Vintage Correct

i even love the littlest detail of my new neck, how were the fretboard starts, before the string nut, how it curves, just like alot of original 60's Jaguar and jazzmaster guitars,

i want to switch out the tuners soon for the "F" tuners seen on mustangs and Jaguars, and i want to switch my neck plate for a "F" neck plate, but dont want to loose the serial number imbedded in the neck plate i have now, i know of people who do the engraving so maybe ill do that to an "F" plate,

i switched out one pickup for a semour duncon antiquity 2 on the neck pick up, sounds great

lots of mods done to this, it need it though, i just didnt want it to look damaged meanwhile i paid over a grand for it,

so i put the time, effort and work into it to make it look and sound like a thousand bucks again,

I have one also but it's not for sell. It's the best gig bag I've seen anywhere. It would take a lot for me to part with it.

So, that's that

I've even did my Fender jaguar thinline with Block inlay, which was really easy because the bindings already existed,

This is my 17 th B&B neck job in the last 2 yrs, but I just always end up buying another and keep doing mods, have more fun sometimes doing mods than playing

The finish came out great after wet sanding Nd buffing, I also used a grapetech bone nut

Fretting was easy on this neck as well , of course I had to remove original frets in order to route the channel for the bindings, but refretting was easy being the necks fretboard was level and straight and in new condition , so I didn't have to do much leveling, I used a radius block from stew Mac just to make sure my block inlays were at the radius of the rest of the fretboard . But besides that , was pretty easy over all and I have to say, this was my fasted job ever, and one of the best

this does remind me of my Mij Jaguar i did 2 jobs ago, the before and after are similar,

heres a pic, on my same dresser

Image
IMG_2335 by B&B Customs, on Flickr

thats when i started to route the binding channels by hand, with exacto blades, not a router, to be more accurate at the cut, and a dremel to cut the side dot holes and square holes for the block inlay

Image
IMG_2326 by B&B Customs, on Flickr

i have been using celluliod for the block inlay for the last , oh about 15 jobs, i just find real mother of pearl to hard to cut, shape, flatten, radius, , its just to much work for me when this looks just as good and the people i did these jobs for in the past, including me, are just as happy with the look of the celluloid ,

finished mij jag neck

my first Mod ever, jazzmaster turned into jazzmaster with jaguar switches and caps, wiring, etc, than did a B&B neck with real MOP , was a warmoth neck, i did the B&B myself because i wanted it to be vintage correct and if you look at theres, its not really, so id rather be happy
