I sent my ds-1 in to be modded. The company is called Peptone Electronics. It turns a pedal with no balls into one with ALOT of balls , it makes it very versitile with alot of different sounds. I cant wait to get it back. http://youtu.be/wJbll3w3hHs

i'm a big fan of the ds-1 as is, myself. but whatever floats your boat, sir. :)
I actually run my ds-1 right before my big muff, just as a treble booster for the muff. (tone all the way up, distortion up maybe 9 o'clock.... so it works as a great intro /punkish distortion , then i can kick in the big muff to really set things off. #pedalgeek

I have a MD-2, and I like how it sounds stock. I bet it can turn really nasty if modded!

I've used a DS-1 for years--unmodded--always has been, always will be.

You need to take some time & experiment with it--but there are a wide variety of sounds it will make.

Nice to see someone else uses an unmodded one.
