Something every musician ought to know, what was the number one single on the day you were born?

July 22nd 1967 makes mine something of a classic, it was The Beatles - All You Need Is Love.

UK list http://www.onlineweb.com/theones/
US list http://freespace.virgin.net/sharon.pers ... ngles.html

Even better in the US it was George Michael - Father Figure. My birthday is also the same date as Justin Biebers. It's a wonder I can play the guitar at all.

Although I share it with Roger Daltrey too so I'll take that!

It looks like, "Cry" by Johnnie Ray and The Four Lads. That was way back in 1952. I wouldn't have selected that one myself.

Although Perry Como topped the charts the week I was born (Frank Sinatra's favorite singer btw)...

Bill Haley & his Comets laid down this little diddy in the studio the very day I was born and became the 2,645,301,164th person on the Planet...

Took another 9 mos. to top the charts, but was recorded on my B'day.

Btw, many historians view the release of this record to be the official start of Rock & Roll !!

Take that Beeches !!

cheers!

That'd be this buy ... I remember seeing him on television when I was young. He faded into obscurity fairly quickly!

I don't know what song topped the charts when I was born Mar. 15 1954, Ry Cooder, Lightnin' Hopkins and Sly Stewart were born on my birthday too.
