I did a review for my American Deluxe Tele yesterday no problem. But I tried to review my uke and it keeps telling me that I have to give it a rating - even though I already have.

Cool, I see it. However, it would be nice to be able to post reviews for products which are not in the current 2013 catalog. E.g. items from 2012 or 2011, no?

I've just completed reviews for my J Bass, '52 Tele and Deville but can't review my favorite guitar; my '57 AVRI Strat because Fender does not make it anymore. What I love about it are the same things the '56 has, but I can't cheat and put my review on that. Can I? I know the topic has been discussed too much already but if we could review old models, I think those reviews would contribute to sales of current models because what we are mostly talking about is the brand.

I don't know if anyone's reading...

but I've been trying since the weekend to post a review of my Nohea Uke and this is what happens when I hit submit.

Please correct the following issues and re-submit:
A rating for the of this item was not selected.

However, I did indeed submit a rating.

Always. Nothing of that kind there since the first post date. Did my thing already. Thanks.

I noticed that since the forum upgrade, I was getting my Fender email caught in the spam filter, but I got that sorted out...just sayin'..

Okay, I've tried every way I know how (and used three different browsers) to review my Nohea uke. (see error below). I give up.

The same thing happened to me trying to review a mandolin. I thought it might have been because I gave it a low rating. Nice to know I wasn't necessarily being censored... :|

I put in a message to Fender just after the review feature started - all I got was emails about how busy they are.

I expect that Brad is following this thread and our comments, with interest. It's his 'baby' after all.

Okey-dokey - done! I've tried it out with a Fender Select Strat review.

Couple of tiny quibbles. The system removed paragraph breaks, which makes my screed a little harder to read. Also, the obligatory "select musical ability" might want a bit of tweaking. The majority of us here probably don't make our living at music and therefore won't check the "professional" catagories. But the other choices are "beginner" or "amateur". Amateur really just means you don't do a thing as a job, which is perfectly respectable - and yet who likes ticking that box...?

Some other words might be nice - or no requirement to specify it at all, as with "musical styles". I get why they're there, but perhaps they could be optional?

Anyhow. A very positive site development that we're all going to enjoy contributing to.

Cheers - C

Excellent feedback here, C ... will pass it along!

Terms such as 'hobbyist' and 'semi-professional' can also be used to denote different levels/involvement/committment as one perceives oneself.
