(Just lit up social media with this one but figured I'd post it here, too as this is a very "different than the norm" style of role for my group:)

New opening for a Sr. Web Content Specialist at Fender. Gear knowledge, web content creation, and eCommerce experience are key. Must speak web geekery a bit too! And ... also must be willing to retrieve my dry cleaning and keep my coffee freshened at all times. :D

Wait til I'm 18. I've got 2 years at a computer repair shop.

That is a very encouraging request, Brad. Finding the right person would help Fender fly better in the digital age it has embraced. The new Fuse dependent amps require a true geek, who understands what Fender is about. At least understand music/amps and the needs of the amp owners.

As an owner of a Mustang, Bronco and SCX2, I thank you.

Yes, the role calls for a gearhead who can write and create content well - so while it's on my web team it's a bit different kind of role for sure. If you know anyone (and particularly someone for whom working full time in Scottsdale would be realistic) encourage him/her to apply!

:P I don't know digital but I've got some real good ideas.

Move all Fender production(including Custom Shop) to Mexico...
Only use Ash and Alder for bodies...
Discontinue all solid state and digital amps. Tubes only...
Bring back the California Series Precision Bass(Pbass body, Jazz neck, PJ pickup config/the ultimate Fender bass!!)...
Go back to using nickel for bridges and tuners...
All guitars and basses come with a case...
Introduce the Ash bodied(otherwise stock) JP90 Fretless Bass...
Introduce the Fender 3/4 size Upright Bass(plywood like a Kay)...
Start using all stainless steel frets...
Drop using all active circuits and pickups...

Uhhh, keep using SS. Most beginners wouldn't be able to use a tube amp.

Bring back the California Series as a whole, but keep it made in CA.

I could go on.

I just have to say what a terrible idea this is before someone accidentally takes it seriously.

No, but always thinking "How long do I have to do this before I don't have to do it anymore?"

But that's straying off topic much as talk of discontinuing amps.

Where do people go for this kind of stuff now, is that Monster board thing still operational?

If only I lived in Scottsdale... Ah well. Just like Strats, I can't take care of every web site that I like. I gotta leave some for others. :)

Thanks for posting Brad. It does sound like a cool job. Let us know if one of us gets an audition?
