I've been enjoying browsing Youtube and watching some of my guitar heros playing live acts, particularly Jimmy Page.

Here he's seen playing a benefit show with Clapton and Beck, and his solo is nothing short of brilliance (and on a Tele, I might add  )

Now, here's a video from 1982, 2 years after the death on Bonzo and the separation of Led Zeppelin. Prior to this show Page had quit playing guitar for 2 years. Skip to Stairway To Heaven at 1:33:51 :

Being a Page fanatic, that was difficult to watch. It shows that even the pros are human. It was also a great lesson and reminder to keep practicing, even for a little while, each and every day.

PS: Joe Cocker is brilliant in the 2nd video. Worth the watch

I could name one VERY famous Jimmy Page solo that he played on a Telecaster!

I had the Clapton/Beck/Page ARMS concert on VHS, must have worn out three video recorders learning riffs from that in the 1980s. The version of Layla at the end is an absolute classic and JP plays a couple of nice instrumentals, not least this one with the B-bender Telecaster used to great effect.
