I have a can of this CRC QD Electronics cleaner. Would this be suitable for cleaning pots and switches on my strat? Just wanted to check with the experts before spraying this stuff into my guitar.

For pots that will be fine. I always buy the version that says "safe on plastic". So many cheap switches now a days have plastic components and that spray will melt them.
Edit: I see it does say that. My eyes are getting worse.

No, they won't. Contact cleaner that has no lube in it will dry the lubrication of the pot up prematurely and maybe hasten it's demise.

For pots you need tuner cleaner or a contact cleaner with a residual lubricant that doesn't dry the pot out.

Contact cleaner is best used for cleaning out tube sockets and in places where no lubricant is required.

Get yourself a cleaner with some type of lube incorporated in it op. Something like this is best, but any contact cleaner won't do, some can freeze pots.

If the can you have has some lube in it then it should be good to use.

And to add incase of a non lubricated contact cleaner .... Do NOt for ay reason use WD-40, it actually should not be used on anything that has either plastic or rubber parts.
I rarely use the stuff except for metal to metal applications ....

Reasoning is that WD-40 contains ingredients that will eventually melt plastic and rubber..
