Here's an attempt at the solo from Rest in Peace by Extreme. This is pushing the limit for me so it's far from perfect but it was fun to learn and play. Nuno Bettencourt is a beast.

The backing track has some weird phasing going on near the end but that's how it was when I downloaded it. Thanks in advance if you take the time to check it out. :D

liked that one alot. never heard of them.
i had to hide the stone sour cd. i've listened to it nonstop since i got it. i think part 2 is coming out soon. also, corey taylor is writing a novel based on the storyline of the 2 cd's. (bad grammar. who cares).
i'm glad someone else digs this kind of music. angry, heavy and very creative. cool concept.
i'll try the PM thingy next time if you want to BS about music. i was beginning to think i was the only metal head around here. proud one too.

Same here, I still enjoy some pre-80's KISS, the early stuff is awesome.

Me and some buddy's from work dressed up as KISS for a Halloween costume contest. I'm Ace...
WE WON!

that was great! You really executed that well. I always loved the phrasing in that solo. I went through a big Nuno phase when they were still putting records out, still great stuff!
