I pulled the trigger on a brand-new (my first brand-new guitar!) FSR American Special Stratocaster in hand-stained Honeyburst! Bought from GC and it was new in the box and not "pimple-faced-teenager-used/new!"

It has the maple neck and fretboard with the 70s head that I have always wanted. 3 Texas Special single coils... and no polyester.

I actually don't know what it is "hand-stained" with... Any advice on how to care for the body of this Strat would be appreciated! I have never owned a hand-stained guitar so I don't know if the Fender guitar polish and cleaner that I have used on my old polyester strat and Dean V should be used or something else?

I wound up buying this instead of the MIM FSR Antigua since GC had a good coupon out that brought the price down close to the used price on the Antigua which would have had to been shipped. I don't expect that this instrument is miles above my old MIM Lone Star in terms of quality... but it is certainly very well crafted and plays very nice! And I love the neck! I will say that the neck does indeed feel better than my MIM Lone Star's neck.
