So my brother in law ask me if I would be up to installing Seymour Duncan's on his Jackson
Warrior guitar. Sure why not .
I open the guitar cheap pots and shoddy wiring. The grounds are soldered
to a screw on the body and "1" wire to the volume pot. Looked like a cold
solder not to mention.
So I install a SD SH8 Invader neck and SH10 full shred bridge.
Plugged her in, sounded good. But pots sounded scratchy volume pot
sucked, input jack was noisy when moving the cord a little.
Forgot to mention, he bought used.
He wanted a complete overhaul, for now I installed the crucial part, rewired
it correctly, installed a new cts volume pot, we only need the stereo flush
mount input jack, and the .047 mf cap for the tone pot. The switch was ok,
He wants to replace that later.
Now it sounded really good, volume rolled up and down smoothly no noise.
A few issues left but last few things are cake compared to the rest.
It is what it is and that guitar RAWkS!!!
