I like that band!

Watched them live a few weeks ago. They put up a good show at a relatively small venue. Place was completely packed, me and the wife could not move from our spot during the whole thing. And I only went because my best friend's son's band was opening for them. Never heard of Alabama Shakes, but I think they're legit.

On other Grammy news... This won against Lamb Of God, Anthax, Megadeth, and Iron Maiden for the "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance".

I predict that I wont be watching :?

Nor did I. Got so tired of people acting as though they were obliged and expected to dress and behave like morons because their audiences think that's 'hot' . ['Hot' by the way is what used to be 'Cool' but had to become 'Hot' becaus things got too cool. Now, if things become too hot, will they cool of again and become 'Cool'?]. Uffff!!

Yuck is a great band, wish they'd release some new music already.

What a joke!!

It really shouldn't be surprising that the metal category of a commercial circlejerk of an award show blows. Though, Lamb of God and Megadeth are also absolute drek.

Haven't looked at other nominees, but wouldn't be surprised if NONE of last year's big metal albums were mentioned.

I doubt very much that anyone who truly earned or deserves one will get it,I'm beginning to think that the Grammys like induction to the RRHOF and the Rolling Stone awards,it all boils down to whoever is the most physically attractive or whoever has the best PR people behind them.Ive become so disillusioned by all of these awards that I'm convinced that they are all a big farce.I haven't watched any of these programs for many years because so many acts that aren't even remotely rock orientated have been admitted to the RRHOF while truly deserving great rock acts have been shunned repeatedly for many years.

+1

cheers :D

The Levon Helm tribute at the end was pretty cool.

I liked Bruno Mars with Sting and Ziggy Marley's tribute to Bob Marley too.
