And just because you love bass, doesn't mean you should stop playing guitar. I think just about every guitarist will pick up a bass in some way, shape, or form. Some will keep doing it, and some won't.

Yeah, I am going to keep learning guitar and keep learning bass, and in a couple of years or so I will see which one I will like better :D

I started on Guitar in 2004. After a year and 3 chords, I had hit a wall. Picked up the bass, played exclusively for 2 years. Then I picked back up the guitar again and it was like starting over. Now I play both equal amounts of time, depending on my mood. Some weeks will be more basic (pun intended) and some more guitar-centered. But being able to understand how both instruments work will help when you're playing with others. I recommend at least learning a few root notes or arpeggios.

I few weeks ago while in my usual music store I ran into the guy who played bass in Ace Demolition-a very successful band we played in during the mid 70s.I had only seen him a couple of times since, but now he's playing lead/rhythm in a 3 piece band and has been for several years. He was a bitchin' bass player too.I guess that you can change horses in the middle of the stream.

BTW: Ace Demolition was the hottest band that I ever played in and we insisted on playing popular but non top 40 songs by groups like Queen,Uriah Heep,Average White Band,ZZ Top,Mahogany Rush and of course Hendrix etc. We usually had standing room only at every gig we played. We had a fabulous light show that was owned and operated by two guys who did our lighting exclusively-they were called You F O,so our official name was "Ace Demolition and You F O",and I'm not going to say what the F O stood for...lol.
