Where do you get prices like that? Shouldn't that head be 2X or 3X that? Plus it looks really clean too. Does it have the foot pedal? and what is the midi component? Wow that looks awesome!!

I found it on eBay.

It's a MK I, they usually go for around 600 bucks on eBay, because now there's the MK II (the Las Vegas-like blue glowing monster), which is more popular for several reasons.
The MK II is 3000+ bucks new, dunno about the prices used but I saw 1 going for 1500, used.

It still looks very, very good. Saw a band room maybe 3 or 4 times, the rest of it's lifetime it was sitting at home in the living room of the previous owner.

No midi equipment with it (in fact, I have no clue about that midi stuff) but there's an interface for midi.

Yes, the floorboard came with it. 6 buttons for the channels plus one for switching on/off the effects loop.

I'm sure I'll do some recordings with it in the future since I intend to use it as my #1 amp in my just forming bluesrock band. My Statesman then will become my emergency backup.

I'm really looking forward to work with this amp. I know it'll take a couple of weeks maybe, to get fully familiar with it, to get the sound and tone I'm really looking for.
Took me about 3 weeks with my Statesman.

Yes, at first impression.
But then it's as easy as it can get.

Channel master volume, treble, mid, bass, gain ch 1 and gain ch 2. That's it but it's there 3 times for 3 amps.

On the very left there's presence, master volume and FX-mix where you can choose the amount of FX from your pedal board which is mixed to the dry amp signal.

That's all.

Some knobs on the back as well (like reverb) but overall still pretty easy for each amp.

You don't see them very often but the 3 I saw went for 600 (2) and 560 (mine) plus national shipping.
Now, wit the Mark II on the market, one can make very good deals on the Mark I

Have fun chasing! :D

FWIW, I'm GASsing HARD for a Statesman. I watched their demo, with the German fella who does all their videos, and the tones coming out of that thing were blowing me away!

You can get them really cheap now. 500 bucks in Germany!
Since the Statesman Series is discontinued, dealers clear their storage!

For Fender strats the amp is a little on the bright side (depending on the cabinet, of course!).
I reduce treble and mids to 8 and 9 o'clock position.
My cabinet is built towards nice sparkly clean, with Celestion G12H30 Anniversary speakers, maybe that's why.
The Statesman is an awesome amp considering the price you pay today.

That German fella is Thomas Blug, one of the best stratplayers in Europe!
His control over the volume pot (besides his awesome playing style) is just mindblowing!

Yeah, Thomas. Just couldn't put my finger on his name... Anyhow- I agree- He's a great player!

Too bad I'm not in Germany to take advantage of those prices! ( we need a smiley for sticking-out-your-lower-lip-and-pouting!) I'm in the States- I'm sure the shipping would double that...

For a cab, I'd have to try several out to see what sounded best. I am partial to Greenbacks, though.
