Try this link. It has info on Molly Hatchet. they are from Jacksonville Florida, formed in 1975, disbanded in 1989.

Molly Hatchet. Southern Rock...like the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, just not as famous. If you dig Molly Hatchet, look into .38 Special. Molly Hatchet still tours regularly as I got to introduce them at a huge Harley Davidson festival here are a few years ago when I was working in radio.

Molly Hatchet Rawk Dude. ;)

If you can get a listen (iTunes maybe) check out "Flirtin' With Disaster" (their most famous song) and "Whiskey Man". "Gator Country" isn't bad either. "Dreams I'll Never See" is sort of like "Low spark of High-heeled Boys" by Traffic but Southern Rock not Chicago Blues.

Bounty Hunter is good but not one of my favorites. :)

Of course, everybody has their own listening tendencies which is why people can like the same band but different songs (and so on). So, generally, listen to the band and listen to their music and decide what you like and don't like and reassess every once in a while. There are songs that have 'grown on me' and others that I liked which eventually grew on my nerves. It is so subjective.

Glad that you mentioned it. ;)

First concert I ever went to without my parents was The Outlaws. 38 special and Molly Hatchet opened. It was at the Music Hall in Houston Texas circa 1977. One of the best shows I've ever seen. If you like Molly Hatchet definitely check out the Outlaws live CD "Bring It Back Alive" or really just about any of their albums.

Dreams is just Molly Hatchet's version of the same song by the Allman Brothers. Different arrangement.....but same song.

I would never thought to compare it to Low Spark of High Heeled Boys...but hey...I can see it.

MH rocked...and I mean rocked back in the day. ahhh...the early 70's.

Molly Hatchet! Nice my young squier, it's good to see kids digging the oldies. I remember those albums with the Frazetta artwork on the covers.
