I jump through all the hoops and it keeps returning me to the 1st page.

I bought it "New" (Open Box) from the local Best Buy. What worries me is I only have till tomorrow to return it, if it is perhaps, (for lack a better description) "Kind of Shady." I have all the paper work & receipt.

Should I be worried?

registration just puts you on the mailing list. What you need for warranty is your original sales receipt from a authorized fender dealer.

I realize BB isn't on the Fender dealer list, but it took the info on the Tele that I bought at the same location.

I guess I'll have to phone Fender, tomorrow. Possibly registered as a Holiday gift & the SN is a dupe.

Did you not understand what Minnesotastrats said? Registering your equipment serves no warranty purpose. It even says so on the registration page:

"NOTE: Registering your products does not constitute a warranty registration"

All registering gets you is junk mail. You need your receipt for warranty repairs.

And Best Buy IS an authorized Fender dealer and DOES show up on their dealer list.
