Well, my school does this thing where they sell musical valentines. It's run by the guitar class. I'm not involved with the class, but I know a lot of people, and the teacher is pretty cool. Anyways, I was skipping class and decided to jump in on the musical valentine stuff. The class people who had lunch at that time were all passing around an acoustic/electric guitar plugged into an amp. I was a bit of a hog. I sat through all 4 lunch periods, and even made the announcements that we were selling the musical valentines. The person who was chaperoning was asking me what period I was in, and I told her I was just using them as cover so security wouldn't get me. Well, I was asked back for another performance on Wednesday, so I've got my Telecaster all polished up, and I'll probably let all of these dirty kids get their meat mittens all over it. A couple of them already know all about it from various friends talking of it and they're wanting to get acquainted.

Today was an awesome day.

And my set list will probably be a lovey dovey one.

You're Gonna Kill That Girl
I Remember You
What's Your Game
and maybe a couple more.

I could try and learn it. It's a pretty funny song.

Also, I've got a version of Earth Angel working. It involves cranking the Invader.

MTX had a couple hilarious ones. I found them from reading a comedic book their singer wrote. It's called King Dork. (basically, it's a caricature of him forming bands and w/e, getting his first guitar, etc. There's one scene that's so vividly painted in my head from the way it's written. He and his friend steal a Fender Bassman amp and cab and walk it home.)

Also The Descendents have some great ones. I forgot the name, but it's about watching TV with your girlfriend.

If only this could happen in my school.

More kids here are interested in "Chief Keef" than Keef Richards.

I would sign up for that club in a heartbeat.
