I went to go get a new bass resonant head today, but they were fresh out. I had to get a batter as my reso, and now my bass sounds better than ever. I have serious problems. :(

No 'Brownie' this year....Instead: Custom furniture for my 'man cave'. new Sleep Number Bed; trip to Seattle to visit the kids; 3 weeks in France and Italy, cruise with the family to Alaska and a week in Seattle afterwards; SA might consult airborne strat regarding the predicament. Airborne's got an extremely supportive companion where gear is concerned. 8)

Well, it ultimately is a moot question and a dead topic.

I was "outsourced"/laid off last week, so there will be no new instruments entering my herd for a while, short of a new job and/or grand larceny.

Good news, though: we are moving back to Texas after two and a half (LOOOONG) years north of the Red River. We never sold our home down there, and by coincidence, our tenants' lease will expire next month.

We made a bunch of great friends up here, and will certainly visit all of them regularly (and hope they come down to visit us, too).

So, here I go again--trying to find a new job. It will be an adventure, to say the least.

SA, sorry to hear about the recent turn of events for work. It's always stuff like that you hear of happening to other people but never actually expect it to happen to yourself. Remember though: everything happens for a reason! :D In this case you get to go back home to Texas, along with a whole new set of opportunities. Best wishes to you in the future, sir!

Sorry about your current situation. I remember the day, years ago, having the experience of being informed that the position I held was being eliminated. Though unemployed for a few months, as it turned out, I found the best job I every had, which I retired from, 21 years later. Good luck to you.

Interesting turn of events with all the coincidental circumstances along with it. All of what I've been hearing about Californians heading to Texas for better opportunities made certainly bode well for you. Your former employer's excess may just turn out to be another's necessity. In similar circumstances, 'Big Jay' [not heard from much in these pages for some time now, but a regular on Facebook] secured a gig with a band in and around his stomping grounds and appears to be doing rather well. Keep us posted on your happenings.

Oh wow, not again. SA, this is depressing news for sure.

For the almost nothing it's worth, I have total faith in you to once again turn it around and come out on top. Of course, it's easy to say that when I'm thousands of miles away and you are the one who has to make it happen. Still. More important people than me believe in you, and that ain't bad.

And on the plus side, as you say, you're headed back to Texas! Some of us know what that means to you, on several levels.

Hang in there, Armadillos. This story isn't even halfway through.

Best wishes - C

Sorry to hear that, SA, that really bites. But you seem like a decent, hard-working guy, so something good will surely come your way. Hang in there!
