I have now added some guitar tracks to the rhythm one. I made the mistake of recording with a the mp3 file instead of wave. Looks like I may have some work ahead of me to redo things. Since this song needs shaping, this will do for now.

I like your song Staring into Nothing. It goes places.

Thanks man, I honestly think it sounds like a bunch of ideas and riffs put together LOL! I'm very limited because of my "recording studio" equipment. For example, if I change the tempo, the app will try and arrange all tracks to fit that tempo, and the whole thing becomes a mess. I'm also limited to 4/4 3/4 and 6/8 (which is really 3/4 on 8th notes), and many of my writing ideas for that song called for tempo changes and the use of the odd meter. I'm having a hard time calling it "prog rock" as it is, it's way too simple.

But it's my first attempt ever composing anything, and it's a bit too ambitious for my current set of skills. I hope to have a full song soon, it's already at over 6 minutes and it still feels incomplete.

Ok then. If it was earlier I might have snagged it and put a bass line to it and reposted it with my stuff.

I have my lastest edit of my homage to Pagey up on my ReverbNation page. I removed a verse for it. I think it tidied it up. Got a perfect cut done too. Even I cannot hear it. :D

i play all the instruments on here..pretty much all of it is improvised. there are 3 songs up on my sound cloud that can be heard here:

https://www.soundcloud.com/jarvis-probes/sets/demo

the first song is about a month old..the 2nd song was done probably 6 months ago, the last song is about 2 years old. most of the basses were a jaguar bass. guitars were a MIJ Jaguar, 1968 Mustang, and a MIJ Telecaster.

you can hear my first and second albums (and many more EP's and other bands) at http://www.octafish.bandcamp.com

hope you like it...

I like it, the singer sounds a lot like Aaron Lewis (Staind).

Ok peeps, here's my latest update on my only song haha!

https://soundcloud.com/1neeto/staring-i ... g-update-2

This time I changed the first solo, so if you can, listen to this solo and the previous update solo and tell me what you think. I also worked on the last solo for smoother phrasing and timing, and added a few pinch harmonics here and there.

First solo starts at 1:31 and the last solo at 4:17.

I'm about 90% pleased with the song, and I think I should wrap it up and just work on cleaning it up instead of adding more stuff. At 6+ minutes I think I overachieved considering it's my first time composing!
