i forgot to say, out of those albums, my favorite would probably be Absolution by Muse, but i love all of them, i just listen to absolution all the time, great album

its a perfect mix of piano, guitar, bass, drums, wacky effects, and haunting vocals in my opinion

well i am probably older than most of you [52] so my tastes go further back.. these are some of my fav's for different reasons..grateful dead europe72,rolling stones get your ya ya's out,frank zappa apostrope,led zepplin's 1st 4 albums,uriah heep look at yourself,black oak arkansas black oak,stevie nicks trouble in shangrala,mott the hoople live mott,allman brothers live at the fillmore,johnny winter[all of johnny!] he is god!, mahavishnu orchestra birds of fire, bob dylan live 1966 well you get the point.. and just to add my opinion. yes stevie ray and clapton etc. are all great blues/rockin guitarists as was the late,great brother Duane, but to me Johnny winter is God of that style of play......... :P

For the albums I listed - I was in the audience for 2 of the recordings. :lol:

Mott The Hoople Live - a really good set of shows on Broadway.

Reckoning - The Dead doing acoustic at Radio City - fabulous shows.

In terms of entire albums, you could drop me on an island with Axis: Bold as Love by Hendrix (Experience).

One thing I really like is album "chemistry," where it's not so much about individual songs, but song order and mood. On that note, two other entire albums that I love are:

Dark Side of the Moon- Pink Floyd
OK Computer- Radiohead

I have plenty others, but those stuck out to me.
