If that is an actual Fender color, I'll puke.

Minnisotastrats...not my cup of tea, but a cool color none the less! And your not likely to see your guitar color show up in the hands of the other guitar player in your band, so the color is a unique one too!

It's certainly not worth $500. I'd pay $350 max, simply because I'd have to switch out the bridge pickup and the PG. And the fact that it's MIM. You could get a HWY 1 in decent shape for that money.

Buxom...what the hell is your point? No one cares that it is MIM. Don't start that crap again. It is a fine guitar...me thinks you smell of sour grapes as always. Please think before ya post.

I'm not saying it's bad because it's a MIM. Analyze my whole post and don't call me out over minor details. I own a #$@*&!% MIM Telecaster, it's my number 1. I'm saying that it's bad that they're asking a MIA price for a MIM guitar. If you look for used HWY 1s, you can find them in the low $5s to low $6s. Why would you pay that price, when you could get a slightly better guitar for the same or slightly more? It doesn't make sense.

It's fun believing one knows everything about everything.. That's his point.

A few people on this Forum have the very same guitar. Nevermind that they could take offense.

Irony at its best.

I wasn't making fun of the guitar, the fact that it's a MIM, or anything. And if you're stuck up over your gear, you shouldn't play at all. I was pointing out the fact that you could buy a HWY 1, a slightly better guitar, for the same price, or just a little more. If that makes me a shithead, so be it.

That's Ok T2, I plan on getting the Pawn Shop Super Sonic in the same finish. Buxom is only here for comic relief IMHO anyways. I laugh at everything he posts

Buxom, You missed the whole point of the thread. The OP is commenting on the color.
No one gives a $@!& about the price, pickups or where it was made. Got it now?
Personally, I don't mind the metalflake finishes. The purple Jazzmaster looks good. I don't think I'd own one though.
Goodonyaz ...Mark.

I think it's cool, in fact I was after a Tele Custom in an aqua sparkle finish not long ago. But alas, I need a car more than I need a Tele. :(

As far as the whole MIM thing goes, aren't all MIM Fenders at least $500 anyway? So it's basically the same price as any other color, but limited edition. That sounds like an all right deal IMO. I got my MIM Standard in 2005 for $350, so yes, they have gone up quite a ways in recent years. But people still buy them.

I'm not a fan or purple but the orange one is cool.

I all about your guitar should be as individual as you are! Whatever color or design you want is all up to you, rock it!

I have one Squier Musicmaster bass with Grumpy airbrushed on the pickguard, black on white with some nice shading. Black bass, black controls, black headstock, love it. Not everyone's cup of tea but that's cool.

My other Musicmaster /Fender body is getting a "crashocaster" knock off paint job now. Again not everyone's thing but I can't wait for it to get done, assembled and rocking. Only wish that one had a maple fretboard.

It's all good.
