Candy Apple Red is still my favorite . . . yet I don't own one. I thought Sienna Sunburst and Blizzard Pearl were great when they came out but the novelty has worn off. I once saw a Fender Bass VI in a color that looked like Cremesicle® orange. It was very cool (no pun intended). I don't think I've seen it on Fender's color chart so it must be a custom color.

I haven't bought my instrument yet(it's on my "wish list" on Sweetwater Sound's website),but since blue is my favorite color,I am going for Lake Placid Blue!

Tungsten!!!
Or black w/ gold pickups, RW fretboard w/ abalone inlays (saw it on 2007 American Deluxe Strat but no idea what it's called)... it was just a pity that I didn't like how it sounded.. it was such a beautiful guitar OO

I bought a Tungsten MIA recently. Sounded good but looked terrible with the rosewood neck (brown and grey seemed like a mismatch to me). I would have preferred an ebony black neck or perhaps the maple. RW is nice but not on this axe with a decent black pickguard to boot. Knowing that Fender colours often mimick the auto world, I couldn't get used to my otherwise great slightly used year old purchase which I thought would grow on me with the Tungsten finish. It didn't help that it looked like the taxi cab next door. I owned a silver Honda and grey and black 2 tone Pathfinder . . . but they weren't trimmed in rosewood. Took the Tungsten back for a new 3 tone sunburst with a maple neck, aged hardware, and mint green pickguard. Classic love that looks good even today.

My other faves would be shades of white, blue, and possibly black (agree with the black w/gold) (Gilmour's black clear coat over sunburst sounds interesting and coloured clearcoats over a different base would be appealing.) Abstract paint jobs like Clapton's is very cool. Heavily detailed pickguards (perhaps, with exchangeable skins) would be welcomed.

It's just a matter of taste, nothing else.

There are dozens of Ibanezes (Ibanii?) I like...(Kramers and Charvels, too), but the whole 80's fluorescent paint and pointy headstock thing just didn't (and doesn't) do it for me.

...and it's not like I'm totally opposed to bright, bold or wild colors. Fiesta Red, Candy Tangerine, Hot Rod Red and several other bold colors like that are amongst my favorites...

My current Stratocaster is Artic White (with white pick guard/rosewood fret). But, had I the money (hell, had I money, I'd pay my rent next month...but back to the dream, shall we?) I would really go for one of the new Fender Select Series in those natural wood finishes. And, though I seem to be in a minority, I'm really diggin' on the Sunfire Orange Flake finish on that odd looking Pawn Shop Super-Sonic guitar. I've seen they have an amp that matches it, too, now.

Have you ever played a HazMat Spill Shmear Tyler Studio Elite or a Jim Burst Ultimate Weapon? These boutique guitars ooze the LA rock scene of the 1980s and early-to-mid 1990s!

Not sure if you're fond of Dann Huff/Michael Landau stuff...

The bridge pickup on the Classic 50s looks like an SD JB Jr.

It's actually a SD Little 59. :)

I guess you picked the Daphne Blue Classic 50's 'coz of Clapp.

Image

I don't think your guitar does have the mid boost, though.

Nope, that's why I went with the stacked humbucker in the bridge. Gives a nice fat tone.
