Hearing all this,is it better,then,to buy directly off the Fender website than GC? Just curious!

If it aint' broke,...don't fix it! I like to keep my amps and guitars factory original,...no mods necessary,...don't want them,...don't need them!

CG isn't that bad. Only problem is that you usually get the one hanging on the wall. They don't keep a stock of most models, because they can restock/reorder in a day or two. In my state you have to pay sales tax, but they arrive by the 3rd day (very convenient). The 3 stores in my area keep the more expensive guitars high on the wall to keep just anyone from handling them. I usually only buy used anyway. I've bought used from them without even plugging them in, just a good visual unplugged check. I enjoy doing my own setups, so if anything is wrong after I take a lot of time to really check them out at home, on my own equipment, they will take them right back. But, that's never happened to me. All this being said, I do like to support the local shops, but only if their egos don't think they justify a premium because you walked in the shop where the REAL players purchase.
