Nice neck. Of course you'll need the body to go with it

It would be hilarious to painstakingly restore this neck to playability, whilst keeping its, shall we say, roadworn appearance. And then produce a suitably matching body to go with.

And for that money I'll take on the mission.

If anyone cares to send me the neck and the $600 I shall start immediately. This could even be a more noble project than the Nikininja Burnt Strat thread.

...I'm not holding my breath, though.

Cheers - C

Haha - right! :D

Mind you, I'm not really itching to do the project. That's why I put the $600 rider on top. But if someone wants to pay that well then, hell, I'd just have to roll my sleeves up, wouldn't I?

I'm trying to imagine the relic'ing process for the matching body. Now we're able to post vids on the Forum that might be quite fun...

Cheers man - C

Oh man! Ya know what, I really like it! Honestly. Can't bear fake relics - but I love the real thing when it's as extreme as that!

OK, the price is too high by about a hundred times, but what a giggle it would be to restore it to fine playability without losing all that patina. What a challenge that neck would be: I've done a couple of broken and splintered Les Paul headstocks but this is a whole different level. A manly task.

Seriously, if I could get my hands on it without paying silly money I'd have at it.

Cheers - C

e-bay eyesore of the week perhaps. I write that only because looking at the damaged neck and body made my eyes hurt :( .
Ceri, your expertise is much more valuable and needed/wanted more by us here. whoever posted those listings really should be flogged or something at least that terrible

Moral of the story: Don't keep your Tele in the barn.

Notice how the body has more offers? that's because that's actually salvageable. I wouldn't pay 2k for it, but hell, I'd pay $100 and put my current Tele's electronics in it.

We, as a forum, should keep putting in $0.99 offers until someone gets it. Then break it up and give it to contributors. Dibs on the headstock.
