i was think about trading my squier 51' for a jackson js32rt dinnky i found on kijiji

The squier 51' is compeltly stock and in mint not one ding. All tho its not made anymore and a good modder. I was going to swap out the bridge, nut, string trees, pick ups and i was thinking about the tuning key

The jackson i belive is stock just with the pick ups changed to the EMG-HZ's i do belive. It's black/grey flamed maple top. And it should also be in good condition

would you do this. I do mostly play metal but however i do love how the 51' plays.
I guess what im saying is would you go for the jackson or mod the 51'? :? :?
Also has anyone played EMG-HZ's an whats your opinion.

Squier 51's were made to be modded, especially if you're accustomed to the guitar and like the way it plays.

See this forum post for more ideas - this is possibly my favourite thread on any messageboard anywhere on the internet ...

Holy crap ! That was the most impressive and interesting thread I've seen in a long time !! I have never considered those 51's - perhaps I just have to re-consider

I think some people embraced them as a cheap source of fairly decent quality parts and hardware then let their imaginations run riot. I'm tempted to try one myself but they're getting "collectable" and this is starting to show in ebay prices. Might be time to build one as a partscaster, these guys do a replacement body with proper string-through fixing (Squier 51's are top-loading).
