I'm not a fan of lemmy either. its just a matter of taste, I have it and most people don't 8)

For a long time I thought that I just didn't like heavy music but I love bands like tool, circle takes the square, and I've always loved grunge for its ugliness. I think its the all out aggression. I find it excessive, the bands I mentioned seem to cover several different shades of angry while remaining heavy.

To my main point, the guitar was never intended to be played with railway spikes, spoons, pill bottles or broken beer bottles. I've bonded with you over Motorhead Sarigul but you're logic would kill the blues  .... and what of Bob Dylan? Art is rarely about ability but its always about expression.

In regards to Vai, doesn't really do it for me either. Continuing from my last point, his work seems more of a showcase... besides I like notes, and having the chance to listen to them.
