shame on me... traded my classic 60s strat for this eastwood airline 59 reissue today. it's freaking awesome, though. couldn't resist. very happy with it. .... also, a current shot of all the guitars at my house.... minus one that's in the back of the closet...it's a depression era kalamazoo... needs some work.

I jam with a guy who uses an Airline Tuxedo (black & white) through a Victoria amp - sounds great too!

Of all the Eastwood models, I think I like their re-issue of the Musikraft Messenger the best......

http://www.eastwoodguitars.com/GTRs/mes ... er_frm.htm

It's a little different from the original that Mark Farner played when he fronted Grand Funk Railroad but it's close enough to deliver that "Inside Lookin' Out" vibe.

i really like most of them now that i've looked at their website.... might have to get a green bighorn next :)
also forgot to mention, you can see my new boss harmonist on my board.. just got it last week to replace my crummy old oc-2. the harmonist is amazing, go play with one.
arc, i love my big muff. i've been a huge big muff fan for several years... this is the third one i've had. i want to get another russian one soon. i miss it.
these pics made me notice i really need to get some better lighting in my kitchen / jam space.

Very cool! I have and original 1963 Supro Res-O-Glass Martinique. It was my first electric and I still use it.

Here's something really fun if you want to build one.

that's awesome, supro. I have a long history of only keeping guitars for a few months and then trading them for something else...but I really believe this one will be a keeper...
I'm really really shocked how good that one little pickup sounds. this thing has balls. I've always been an admirer of guitars from the late 50s/ 1960s, but never thought I'd own anything as cool as this. bless eastwood for making all these awesome reissues.
but all that aside, the dream guitar is still a candy apple red 60s jaguar with matching headstock.

I seriously want another Supro kind of guitar. I'm glad Eastwood makes some affordable repros. That kit place is pretty cool. I'm thinking about building one. I'm on a cigar box guitar kick right now. That's a lot of fun too. My problem is I just can't part with guitars that I buy or are given to me. I have a 72 Strat that my parents gave me as a high school graduation present and a 57 Dano U1 that my friend found in the trash and gave to me.

Here's the 63 Supro

man, that's beautiful. do all those knobs get in your way? I was looking at the 2 and 3 pup models of the airline and figured all those controls would constantly be getting hit while i'm playing.... ?
but, i guess it works for jack white...
a trash saved dano? man, the luck. got a picture of that?
i used to have a harmony LP lookalike , and when i looked up info online it was staggering how many people who had them said they found them in trash cans... might have been the worst guitar i ever owned.... but i still wouldn't have tossed it in the garbage. what's wrong with people?
