I'm holding onto this one just in case I get to play "Machine Gun"
again someday. Hondo M-16 w/Grovers, Kahler and Dimarzio pups
from the very early 80s.

I'm more intrigued with the case than I am with the guitar--that case is awesome!

PS--As time goes by, I see more and more people pulling old Hondos out of the closet and upgrading the tuners; those guitars weren't nearly as bad as their reputation, and several models were downright good (budget) guitars.

The case is cool too - and the Grovers came on it - it's all stock
and I have the original brochure on it too.

Now let's see all those other geetars that y'all are keepin' even if you don't play them much...

I like the machine gun Mike. 8)
I wouldn't like to bring it through an airport though.

OK here's mine. I never play this one.

It's a Fender Acoustic T-Bucket with Vince Ray graphics (125 made)
a fairly decent guitar to play, but I just got it because I admire the artist.
(there's no accounting for taste eh?)

I like Fender's SoCal vibe. Nice guitar, but it would be hard to live up to the graphics. :D

Well nothing really special about mine, except to me.
It's a "75 P-Bass that I purchased used for $250 in 1978. My first bass. It was in like new condition without a scratch.
I played the bass regularly for 10-12 years and it shows.....and the case as well. The thought of it gaining value never entered my mind. But that's okay. Every worn spot, scratch and dent reminds me of a different story that me and the bass experienced together.
I did put DiMarzios in it within a year after I bought it and today it still plays and sounds like a good P-bass. I only pull it out and play it at home 3 or 4 times a year.
I will never sell it and I've told my son it's his when I'm gone.

Just going by the look of it Mike I'm afraid that the government may classify that as an assault guitar. If you have a 16th note magazine I would hide it because they will probably outlaw those soon. You'll be lucky if they let you use an 8th note magazine. Certain politicians are advocating banning other guitars like the Jackson Soloist, the Schecter Hellraiser, and the Gibson Flying V simply because they look like an assault guitar. Besides no good music could come from these models as they are only used for heavy metal and heavy metal should be reserved for military psyops. They want to ban the import of foreign guitars like Ibanez for the same reason. I don't understand their logic. Guitars don't assault people's ears. Bad musicians do.

Somebody had to say it....

I have a 2009(?) MIM copperburst Strat and a G & L ASAT Tribute modified with a Bare Knuckles humbucker in the neck position (it growls like a tiger). I play both of these and I am not sure I'll ever but another guitar....but you all know how that decison usually holds up.

I sold my TC 90 as it sat in a case and never got played.

I rarely take my first Strat out of its case anymore. It is a 1986 MIJ Strat from the time when there were few new American made Fenders in stores. I have a red MIM Strat that doesn't get played much but it was a gift from my son. It's unlikely I'll sell either. Every time I sell a guitar (or any other gear) I usually regret it later.
