i posted my classic 60s strat on cl the other day just to see what would be offered in trade, and a guy is offering me his eastwood airline 59 1-p (red) with case and all the original case candy.. he bought it new a few months ago, everythings in great shape...
i'm really close to saying yeah, but i wanted to know if anyone here has any experience with them.... if so, thoughts? how do they play, stay in tune, etc?
thanks.

My friends dad has the 2p. I haven't seen it, but apparentley it plays like a total badass. Dunno how different the 1p would be.

If only they were like the originals and made of plastic

the 1p is like a simplified version, only one pickup (1p) and only a volume knob for said pickup...none of those other controls like on the 2 and 3 p.... but i'm glad for that, all those knobs look like they'd be in my way... i'm going to meet the guy today after work. i told him i wanted to see it in person before i said yes or no.
