Gang: whenever you encounter this issue I need to have you click the little email link and go ahead and send a report in. Just met with our IT folks about this and will start forwarding them real-time examples as they occur.

YES. I have been talking with Brad about this issue for the last several days and did as he asked. I am completely unable to quote posts regardless if they are in the forum or are PMs. The problem also occurs if I try to cancel a post. About all I can do is simply respond to a post without quoting it.

It seems I am able to quote posts but what I still can't do is use the URL feature.

Is it just general gremlins in the works, or specific issues for specific browsers, Internet connections?

Cheers!

Same here, for several days now, off and on. Ain't it funny how the web site worked just fine before the upgrade ..... I think I might just recind my previous kudos for the new site.

Bluer Monkey,

I cannot quote your post.

I am using IE9. Brad told me that whatever is going on, the problem appears to be activiating the site's firewall and not letting posts through. I ran a virus scan on my machine to make sure it was nothing on my end but I came up clean.

I don't think it's anything on your end, Bill. I'm also running IE9 and seem to be having other problems. Namely using url and certain text formatting.

Hopefully Brad and his team will have it all sorted out after NAMM.

Cheers!

    Hi Brad,

When we click on the email link the subject of the email is generated automatically. Is the information it contains sufficient for a diagnosis on your end or do you need us to provide more details within the body of the email?

    Cheers! BM

Me too, but only on one particular thread. :?

I had this problem a couple of days ago - I was trying to post on GilgaFrank's pickup thread. I tried again and again and finally gave up and let Brad know about it.

Another time was when I was trying to post on Screamin' A's interesting healthcare thread. That time I re-e-e-ally wanted to post and so stuck at it. I tried removing sections from my post systematically and finally discovered that it was a particular combination of brackets and punctuation that got me the "Sorry, technical difficulties" page.

In the end that time round the solution was as simple as inserting a space between a ) and a . and once I'd done that the post submission worked.

However, I thought I'd sussed the issue - but next time around the same solution didn't work and we seemed to be back to square one. :(

Definitely square and/or curved brackets in a post have something to do with it, but it's not consistent. Go figure.

I gave up on GilgaFrank's thread because I decided my thoughts on the topic just weren't vital enough to justify the effort. And yet it's frustrating: I wanted to speak my mind to the world on that subject...

Cheers - C

Yes, it's the subject line of the email that I need - it contains the "incident ID" which we can in turn look up on this end.
